A break:

Everyone knows how much I love being a mom, its my whole life and I wouldn't have it any other way. It is still nice to get a break every once in a while and do something for myself with no kids.
This weekend was such a blast. Chris and I had no kids for the last two days. We also had a lot less sleep without them because we were so busy. Tom picked up Christian and Chloe Friday afternoon. Shortly after, Shauna picked up Keeley and Kaileena.
We started our break off by Chris picking up his brother, Tony, so he could stay the night for our rafting trip in Yakima the next day. We went to Walmart to get snacks for the long drive, Shopping was a lot less stressful without the 4 kids with us. Then we went across the street to my favorite Chinese buffet, 'The Super Buffet'. We usually go there every time we get a break from the kids.
Then later we went downtown Olympia and met up with Beth and some of Tonys friends. We decided to go to Jakes. I didn't like it there as much as I used to. Chris had a few drinks, I got to dance with my him for a while then decided to move on to a different bar.
It was around 11pm, the time the Royal gets busy, so we went over there. We stayed there until 12:30am. During that time we met up with Milleah. I got to dance with her for a little bit, it was really nice to see her. Then I danced with Chris a lot more. It was really packed with people who don't usually go there so we left early. I think they also had a different DJ then normal. A lot or people were complaining about the music and it was pretty bad.
We didn't get to sleep until 2:30am. Which made us only able to get 3 hours of sleep before waking up to drive to Yakima. We left with our group at 6am and followed them to the Tieton River. It was a long drive but I slept almost the whole way there.
The rafting trip was awesome. The water was pretty warm, we were also in wet suits from our neck down. During the trip only one person fell out. He was picked up and pulled back into the raft in a matter of seconds. I almost fell out a few times but was lucky enough to stay in, next time I want to try a harder river. When we got back to the camp we had a BBQ, warmed up then started the drive back home.
I went straight to bed at 6pm after we got home and didn't wake up until 10am this morning. Tom had brought the kids over to my moms house yesterday so Chris and I went over there and picked all of the kids up. The kids must have been really worn out because they pasted out fast after feeding them lunch.
Having a break from all the kids for a few days was great. I had an amazing time with Chris. I am happy to have the kids back home and to start to home school Christian and Chloe a week from tomorrow when Chris starts school again at SPSCC.
